Cookies Policy
What We Store.
Why We Store It.
How to Stop Us.
Finance Authority Hub uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to make our site work, understand how it is used, and — in some cases — serve relevant advertising. This policy explains exactly which cookies we use, what each one does, whether it is essential or optional, and the precise steps you can take to control or remove them at any time.
Cookie Types Used on This Site
Essential Cookies
Required for the site to function. Cannot be disabled.
Functional Cookies
Remember your preferences and settings. Optional.
Analytics Cookies
Help us understand how visitors use the site. Optional.
Advertising Cookies
Used by third-party advertising partners. Optional.
Optional cookies require your consent where required by applicable law. You can update your preferences at any time using your browser settings.
What Are Cookies?
Plain-Language Summary
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit them. They are used to remember things — your session, your preferences, whether you’ve visited before. They do not execute code, carry viruses, or access files on your device. They are simply information stored locally so websites can function better and gather usage data.
First-Party Cookies
First-party cookies are set directly by Finance Authority Hub (the website you are visiting). They are used to remember your preferences, maintain session state as you use our tools and forms, and record your consent choices. We have direct control over first-party cookies.
Third-Party Cookies
Third-party cookies are set by external services that provide functionality on our site — such as analytics platforms, advertising networks, or embedded content providers. We do not control these cookies directly; they are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third-party providers. Where we use third-party services that set cookies, we identify them in this policy and link to their opt-out mechanisms.
Session vs Persistent Cookies
A session cookie is deleted automatically when you close your browser. It exists only for the duration of your visit and stores no information permanently. A persistent cookie remains on your device after your browser is closed, until it expires or you delete it manually. Persistent cookies allow a site to recognise you on return visits. The duration of each cookie we use is disclosed in the cookie table in Section 3.
Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, our site may use similar technologies such as web beacons (small pixel images that detect whether content has been loaded), local storage (browser-based data storage), and pixel tags embedded in advertising content. Where these technologies are used, they are subject to the same disclosure and control principles as cookies described in this policy.
Types of Cookies We Use
We use four categories of cookies on Finance Authority Hub. Essential cookies are always active and cannot be disabled. All other categories require your consent where applicable law requires it.
Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for Finance Authority Hub to function. Without them, core features such as page navigation, access to secure areas, and basic site functionality would not work. These cookies do not collect personal information about you for marketing purposes.
Essential cookies include: session cookies that maintain continuity as you use our financial tools and calculators; security tokens that protect our contact forms against automated attacks; and consent record cookies that store your cookie preferences.
Functional Cookies
Functional cookies allow Finance Authority Hub to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personalised features. For example, they may remember your language preference, whether you have dismissed a notification, or settings you have applied to our financial calculators and tools.
These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising purposes. They simply make your experience on Finance Authority Hub more consistent across visits.
Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with Finance Authority Hub — which pages are most visited, how long people spend on certain content, where visitors come from, and which tools or calculators are most used. This data helps us improve the quality and relevance of our content.
Analytics cookies collect aggregated, anonymised data. They do not identify you personally. We use Google Analytics for site-level analytics. IP addresses collected through Google Analytics are anonymised before processing. We do not share analytics data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Advertising & Targeting Cookies
Advertising cookies are set by Finance Authority Hub’s third-party advertising partners and affiliate tracking systems. They are used to track whether you clicked on an advertisement or affiliate link originating from our site, to attribute conversions to Finance Authority Hub for commission purposes, and in some cases to show you relevant advertising on other websites you visit.
These cookies may build a profile of your interests over time and across multiple websites. Finance Authority Hub does not control the data practices of third-party advertising providers. Please refer to the individual privacy policies of those providers for details of how they process data collected through these cookies.

Finance Authority Hub’s affiliate tracking cookies are separate from advertising network cookies and are used for commission attribution only.
Third-Party Cookies & Services
Finance Authority Hub uses several third-party services that may set cookies on your device. Below is a summary of each service, its purpose, and a link to its privacy policy and opt-out mechanism.
Google Analytics 4

Meta Privacy Policy · Ad PreferencesAffiliate Networks
Finance Authority Hub works with affiliate networks that place tracking cookies when you click affiliate links. These cookies record the referral for commission attribution and do not build cross-site advertising profiles.
Specific affiliate network privacy policies are available on each affiliate network’s website. If you would like to know which network was used for a specific link, contact advertising@financeauthorityhub.com
Site Security Layer
Finance Authority Hub uses a security layer that sets essential cookies to protect the site against malicious traffic, automated bots, spam form submissions, and other security threats. No personal data collected through this layer is used for advertising purposes. This is a first-party security measure and the cookies it sets are classified as essential.
Google Fonts & External CDNs
We load fonts and some assets from Google Fonts and trusted CDNs. These requests may log your IP address and browser user-agent but do not typically set persistent tracking cookies. See Google’s privacy policy for font loading data handling.
Google Privacy PolicyYour Rights Under Data Protection Law
If you are in the UK, EU, or a jurisdiction with applicable data protection legislation, you have specific rights regarding the personal data that cookies may collect about you.
Right to Information
You have the right to be informed about what cookies are used on this site, what data they collect, who processes that data, and for what purpose. This policy fulfils that obligation. If you need further information, contact us at privacy@financeauthorityhub.com
Right to Withdraw Consent
Where we process cookie data on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that occurred before the withdrawal. You can withdraw consent through your browser settings at any time without penalty.
Right to Access & Erasure
You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, and to request its deletion. For data collected through cookies — particularly analytics and advertising data — you can delete this data directly by clearing cookies in your browser, or by requesting deletion from the relevant third-party provider (e.g. Google Analytics).
Right to Object
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data where processing is based on legitimate interests rather than consent. For cookie-based tracking on Finance Authority Hub, you can exercise this right by disabling relevant cookies in your browser settings.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe Finance Authority Hub has not handled your data or cookie preferences in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your relevant data protection supervisory authority — the ICO in the UK (ico.org.uk) or the relevant EU DPA in your member state.
Do Not Track (DNT)
Some browsers support a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal that tells websites not to track your browsing activity. Finance Authority Hub respects DNT signals where technically feasible. Where a DNT signal is detected, we will not set optional analytics or advertising cookies unless you have explicitly consented.
Frequently Asked Questions
If I block all cookies, will Finance Authority Hub still work?
Most of Finance Authority Hub will work without optional cookies. However, blocking essential cookies may affect the correct operation of our contact forms and interactive financial tools and calculators — for example, form submissions may fail without the CSRF security token cookie. If you block all cookies and experience problems with forms or tools, try allowing cookies from financeauthorityhub.com while continuing to block third-party cookies, which is the approach most modern browsers use by default.
Will disabling cookies affect my experience on Finance Authority Hub’s tools and calculators?
Our financial tools and calculators function using JavaScript and do not depend on cookies to produce results. However, functional cookies are used to remember your settings between sessions — for example, if you have changed the default currency, interest rate, or time period in a calculator. If you disable functional cookies, these preferences will reset each time you visit. All calculations themselves are performed in your browser and are unaffected by cookie settings.
I cleared my cookies — will the cookie banner appear again?
Yes. The cookie consent banner or notice is controlled by a cookie that records your previous consent decision. If you clear all cookies from your browser, this consent record is also deleted, and you will be asked for your preferences again on your next visit. This is by design — it ensures your consent record is always current and you are always in control.
Do cookies on Finance Authority Hub identify me personally?
Essential and functional cookies do not identify you personally to third parties. They contain session identifiers and preference data that are meaningful only in the context of your visit to Finance Authority Hub. Analytics cookies (such as those from Google Analytics) collect anonymised, aggregated data — IP addresses are anonymised before processing, and the data produced identifies browsing patterns, not individuals. Advertising cookies from third-party providers may build a pseudonymous profile of your browsing interests, but are not linked to your name or email address unless you have voluntarily provided those to the relevant third party.
How do I know if this cookie policy has changed?
The “Last Reviewed” date at the top of this page is updated whenever the policy is materially changed. We recommend checking this page periodically if you are concerned about how cookies on this site are used. Material changes — such as adding a new category of cookie, engaging a new advertising partner, or changing how analytics data is processed — will always be reflected in an updated policy with a new revision date.
Can I ask Finance Authority Hub to delete the data collected about me through cookies?
For data collected through first-party Finance Authority Hub cookies, you can request deletion by contacting privacy@financeauthorityhub.com. For data collected through third-party cookies (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel), you will need to submit a data deletion request directly to those providers, as Finance Authority Hub does not control the data they hold. You can also delete the cookies themselves at any time through your browser settings, which removes the data stored locally on your device.
